With ‘Connecting Minds and Creating the Future' as the theme, the end of six magnificent months of Expo 2020 Dubai saw millions of tourists from all over the world rush to Dubai to experience the 6-month mega event. Visitors were captivated by Expo 2020's world-class music, athletic events, breathtaking pavilions, and family-friendly activities. But, now that the Expo is over, what is the future of the international fair? Well, we have got some wonderful news for you. Expo 2020 Dubai will soon be renovated and reopened to the public as Expo City Dubai.

Now, what is Expo City Dubai?

Announced as the legacy site of Expo 2020 Dubai in June by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the city reconstructs the event's enchantment, spirit, and excitement through several iconic pavilions, entertainment, and technological initiatives. Expo City, strategically placed between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, will be one of five metropolitan hubs. The initiative's primary purpose is to boost people's happiness and lifestyle quality and establish Dubai as a worldwide destination for citizens, residents, and visitors.

Visitors are invited to explore two of Expo City Dubai's most iconic pavilions from September 1st, with the re-opening of Alif - The Mobility Pavilion and Terra - The Sustainability Pavilion representing the first chapter of Expo City Dubai's voyage.

Not to miss attractions at Expo City Dubai

The world's largest 360-degree projection screen, Al Wasl Dome, will stay open. Garden in the Sky, a revolving observation tower that elevates tourists 55 meters above the ground for a 360-degree panorama, will also continue to welcome visitors. The distinctive water feature at Expo, which has become a favourite site for visitors to cool down during the hot weather, will also remain open. Children under the age of 12 and people of determination are permitted for free, while tickets for adults are priced at AED 30 each.

Mesmerising Pavilions

The pavilions of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, India,  Luxembourg, Morocco, and Australia are among those that will remain open and provide visitors with fresh experiences. The Opportunity Pavilion, which drew enormous audiences with its unique water, food, and energy exhibits, will be turned into the Expo 2020 Dubai Museum. It will honor the success of the six-month event conducted in Dubai by highlighting the history and effect of world expos.

The Mobility and Sustainability pavilions will remain open to offer engaging educational experiences in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, arts, and culture to visitors. The Women's Pavilion will continue to demonstrate how women have made contributions to cultures across the world, with an emphasis on promoting gender equality and women empowerment. The Vision pavilion will commemorate Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and his life and vision.

Mouthwatering Centre

Visitors to the Expo were served delicacies from across the world on a platter. The new city will include a variety of cuisine outlets to suit every taste.
